Braille is a way of representing text with a series of raised dots which therefore allows visually impaired people to read with their fingers. The six dots that make up Braille allow for 63 possible combinations, which translate into the letters of the alphabet, numbers, punctuation symbols and certain common words.
Our standard Braille Tactile Signs come as a 1.2mm thick vandal resistant and hygienically clean continuous surface (with no add-ons that can be removed). Our vandal resistant and hygienically clean membrane can be adhered to all surfaces; flat or curved, mounted onto a backing of personal preference, or added to existing signs.
Colour/finishes
Standard Braille Tactile Signs are white on blue or black on silver (with Access symbol white on blue). Colours and finishes can be matched to your specific requirements as long as there is a minimum of 30% luminance contrast between the tactile and the background.
Signs for external use have a UV stabilised and graffiti proof coating.
